1.  What is a CD Photo Archive?

Whether you use a film camera or a digital camera, every photo can and should be stored on a CD.

  • CDs are durable and have enough memory to permanently store hundreds of images, which makes it easy to organize and archive your entire photo collection.
  • Photo CDs contain digitized images that can be shared through email and the internet .
  • Photo CDs are a permanent “negative” – memory cards can be erased and hard drives often crash.  CDs can be used as an image archive; copies can be made for family and stored in a safety deposit box for added security.

Simply put the discs away for safe keeping and when you need any of your photos printed take it to any professional printer to have new prints made.

2.  How are photos restored?

  • First we scan your original picture using a high-quality image scanner and save it into a digital format on our computer.
  • We then retouch or restore the digital version of your photo using photo-editing software.
  •  We can also archive the restored digital image onto a CD for you.

3.  When will I receive my restoration?

  • The usual turn around time is approximately 48 hours from the time we receive your original photo. We will email the finished product to you on the 2nd business day.  If the product needs to be mailed back to you please allow time for delivery.
  •  If your photo requires a longer amount of time to restore, you will be notified immediately.

4.  How do I send my photos?

You can send you photos in two different ways.  Either by email or we will supply you with a mailing address and you can send it  through  USPS, UPS, Fedex or DHL.

  • Please note that if you are sending through the mail you must send registered and insured. Photographs must be well packaged and protected. We will not be responsible for damaged, lost or stolen photographs.
  • All original photographs will be returned unharmed and shipped back with the final product well protected and insured.  Shipping costs will be added on to final fee.
  • The quickest and safest way to send your photos is through email as an attachment.  If you have a print you need to scan it first. Please set your scanner at 300 dpi resolution (or 600 dpi, if you need an enlargement), in color, and save it in JPG format (high quality).
  • If you don't have a scanner, you may bring your photo to a nearest Kinko's, Staples, Walgreens or Walmart and let them do it for you.
  • Please provide detailed requests for each photo submission.

5. How do I make payment?

Payment can be made by either money order, check or PayPal.  We will provide you with our PayPal information when you send us your order.  Orders will not be processed until payment is made.
